Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book the band?

Once you have decided that Rendition is right for you, contact the band manager by e-mail (tjenkins@renditioncombo.com) or phone
(864-654-9013) to reserve a date. Contracts will be mailed to you specifying times and location for the performance, and final cost for the
band. Your date will be reserved when you return the signed contract with a 50% deposit. Contracts must be returned within 14 days.

How do I pay for the band?

A 50% deposit is required when the contract is returned. The remaining 50% must be given to the band manager prior to the start of the
performance. In most cases, the balance is provided on the day of the event, but it must be given to the manager prior to the band
performing.

Why is the 50% deposit nonrefundable?

Mainly because the band is committed to your event and will be turning down other requests to perform on the same day. Also, because
the band has reserved that day for you and made all the necessary preparations, it is not possible to refund the deposit when outside
events are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. However, we will be happy to work with you to reschedule the band for a later
date.

How much space does the band require for set-up?

Sufficient space is needed for the full 8-piece band to set-up and perform in a comfortable fashion. The minimum area needed is about
144 square feet either in a 12 x 12 square design or no less than a 10 x 14 rectangular design.

What are the site requirements for the band to perform outside?

In addition to the space requirements discussed above, sufficient cover should be provided over the band site to provide protection from
rain or sun. Moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme temperature can damage the equipment and instruments (and sometimes the
musicians). Assurance of adequate protection from adverse conditions is needed before the band can begin set-up.

Will the volume of an 8-piece band prevent guests from talking?

Unlike rock bands that require full amplification for two or more guitars and other instruments, no amplification is needed for the horns in
Rendition to provide a good rich sound that fills the dance floor but still allows other guests to visit and talk. In large halls or outside events,
we can provide the necessary amplification to be easily and comfortably heard in all locations.
